2024/10/23 Liberal Arts Lecture Topic: Invites all Staff and life
Dear all:

On Wednesday, October 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the Liberal Arts Lecture will be held in the Ho Yin Tsai Memorial Hall, Shou-Ren Building(守仁樓膺才廳), Yang Ming Campus. We are honored to have 洪蘭教授 as our guest speaker, who will deliver a lecture on the topic, "Brain and Life."

This lecture will apply the QR Code system for signing up; students who have signed up and attended the entire lecture will be able to record their learning résumé in their personal e-Portfolio for participating in the on-campus activities. All audiences will have a chance to win the speaker’s new book "大腦說明書:誰在操控生活大小事?" (released on: 2024/07/01) by completing the feedback form.

Date: October 23, 2024 (Wed.)
Time: 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon
Venue: Ho Yin Tsai Memorial Hall, Shou-Ren Building, NYCU (Yang Ming Campus)
e-Portfolio: Full participation in person can be included in the learning trajectory record of campus activities.
Liberal Arts Credits: After participating in Liberal Arts Lectures, community activities, and cultural events, the executing unit will assist students in logging their participation records on the e-Portfolio. Accumulating 8 hours from various activities qualifies for 0.5 credits, with hours less than 8 not being eligible for credit. Activity hours can be accumulated across semesters. Students can check their "Liberal Arts Credits" in the "Course History" section on the e-Portfolio to see if they have accumulated enough hours. Afterwards, they can enroll in the "Liberal Arts Credits" course and obtain credits based on the e-Portfolio record!

Registration and Notes:
1. Please bring a 3C device with QR code-scanning capability to sign up/sign in (the QR code will be provided on event day).
2. Attendees are required to register.
a. Students who have e-Portfolio needs. (Registration information will be collected by Liberal Arts College after the event and imported into student participants’ personal e-Portfolio system.)
b. Public Officials who need 2 granted-hour of Lifelong-Learning-Hours.
3. This lecture will be conducted in Mandarin.
4. Online livestream is not available on this lecture.
